Elstree and Borehamwood to become a Christian Community

Position of Pastor


The position of a Pastor will be vacant in a Jesus centred Church in Borehamwood come June 2021.The position will require a born-again Christian and demand time tested relationship with God that underscores leading the flock with conviction and boldness to declare the reality of the word of God.


Key Responsibilities


To be the spiritual leader of our local church, promoting the tenets of Christian faith to help build up the church, including but not limited to knowledge of the Bible, obedience to God, burden for the lost, commitment to prayer and fellowship.


To work collaboratively with the current leadership team to support in the delivery of the vision to make Borehamwood & Elstree a Christian community.


To oversee:


To preach and teach the word of God at Sunday services and Bible studies.


To lead members into a deeper understanding and relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible teaching and prayer.


To identify and encourage utilisation of the gifts of the spirit among church members to help grow and build the church.


To actively promote activities that would strengthen unity, friendship and love among church members.


To evaluate if continued membership of Evangelical Alliance UK and other potential charismatic groups can benefit the spiritual growth of the church and its members.


Carry out such other work as may be reasonable required by a Pastor.



Qualifications


A university degree in theology or any other discipline is desirable but not essential. Demonstrable evidence of qualification by experience will be acceptable.


Skills and Experience


At least 3 years’ experience in the role of a Pastor or a similar role in ministry that has resulted in maturity of faith inclusive but not limited to:
